Maryl and I had a wonderful time with the great people of Cornerstone Community Church in Aberdeen, WA, April 13-15. Pastor Larry Dublanko and his wife Sharon and the whole worship team did a wonderful job of hosting us and the ministry was rich. Starting Friday night as Tracy Ford led a sweet time of worship and I shared the Vision of Worship for Cornerstone, you could sense that God was going to do great things among us. Their receptivity to the teaching and the Word made all the difference in the activity of the Holy Spirit.
Saturday was 12 hours together, worshiping, singing, learning, laughing and crying together as Jesus helped us understand His presence and His purpose. New songs were birthed and the team got some great flows going between them. We discussed hymns a lot and explored their potential in spiritual worship. We ended the day with a rehearsal for Sunday’s worship service.
On Sunday, the team was raring to go and came out with passion and delight as they worshiped and watched Jesus reveal Himself to the congregation. It was an incredible time of power and sweetness all at the same time. Of course, my goal is to release the local team to facilitate the worship in their house, and they did that so beautifully. Tracy and his team are a small but close-knit group that work easily together because of their commitment to each other. I was delighted to see them come even closer to each other this weekend. Pastor Larry said to the congregation ‘we will feel the impact of this weekend for years to come’. What a joy to be involved in the precious thing that Jesus is doing, even in the ‘hidden’ places of the world.
