Friday, December 21:
We are back in the US, safe and sound, healthy yet exhausted, joyful and excited at all the God did for us in Uganda over the last couple of weeks. We will give a full report after Christmas next week. In the meantime, you can enjoy the Uganda pictures on the media page. Thank you all for your support and generosity over the last few months. Merry Christmas from the Smiths in Aloha.

Wednesday, December 5th:
Maryl, Molly and I arrived intact to Entebbe Airport in Uganda ahead of schedule tonight. We purchased our visas there and went quickly through customs and were surprised to be met by a group of wonderful friends from RUN ministries and Hope Village. Then Brent E. and Royce Iverson showed up fresh from their ministry at Bussi Island this week, sans showers. What a joy to be received with such enthusiasm and excitement on every side. Then Brent drove us to our temporary home at a Guest House in Kampala. Incredible view looking over the whole city. This is a Christian run place and we have met a lot of great missionaries etc. here already. We got a good night sleep and seem to have acclimated pretty well on the jet lag issue. All health is improving daily.
Wednesday, December 5th:
Maryl, Molly and I made it safely to Amsterdam today and leave in a few hours for Uganda. Lots of snow in Minneapolis, but they’re used to it. sat for an hour on the plane waiting to be de-iced etc. We only had to pay for one overage on our bags! small miracle that! forgot my camera in the Nixons van. bummer.
All is well. Spirits are up. Got a little sleep in. Maryl’s legs and toe are doing well. Thanks for the continued prayers and support.
In Him,
The Uganda Team
Monday, December 3rd:
Maryl, Molly and I leave for Uganda in the morning. We are all excited and see His hand guiding us all the time. The meetings in Uganda are all set for the whole time we are there and finances are coming in so we can provide so many things for the orphans, widows, pastors, leaders, musicians and new believers.
We will be carrying in some things and purchasing other things when we get to Uganda.
We have raised more than enough for everything we need for the ministry there! Praise God! You are an incredible group of supporters, thanks for the prayer and gifts.
For prayer while we are in Uganda:
Physical stamina (Maryl’s toe is doing a lot better and my cold is healing)
Vocal stamina (I will be speaking 22 times in 9 days)
Physical protection and health
a sure word for each part of the trip:-island church salvation message (where Brent and Virginia minister)
-island ministry school – 9 sessions over 3 days with pastors and leaders (Brent started this school a month ago with 40-50 pastors and leaders in attendance!)
-Osannide Village (orphanage) on the island while I am working with the school, Maryl and Molly will be sharing stories, healthcare, songs, puppets, swimming lessons with kids as well as ministering to the widows in charge of the orphans and the uncles and aunties who live in the village.
-Youth Camp (at RUN Ministries with Pastor Wilfred Kaweesa) expecting over 300 youth – 2 days of ministry (Molly will be sharing here too)
-Restoration Bible Church (two Sunday services) 600 people
-Uganda Worship Conference (3 days) 60 churches invited (Maryl will be sharing in this conference too as well as a couple of other pastors)
Thank you for standing with us in this significant time for us and Uganda. We know God is going before us, preparing His people for a wonderful time in His presence as He reveals His heart and releases His people.
We will try to post some updates from Kampala as time permits. For His kingdom!
Your worship missionaries,
Tim and Maryl Smith (and Molly Nixon)
