Prayers for Worship Without Borders – Guatemala – June 2013
(see below for full ministry schedule)
- Protection and Safety – Psa 4:8 I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. Both on the trip over in the plane, during our travels in cars on the highways and streets, in the churches, hotels, airports, and even shopping. This goes for the whole team: Pastor Dan Trujillo; Adrion Trujillo; Danica Trujillo; Alyssa Cagle; David Cagle; Maryl and I. And please remember and pray for our families who are here while we are gone.
- Health – Psa 107:20 He sent His word and healed them. Remember that Maryl continues to battle some strong physical ailments. Especially after our car accident in April. Pray for total healing. In Guatemala, good, safe food and drink readily available helps. No diarrhea or intestinal problems.
- Strength – Is.40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. We are looking at 6 straight days of ministry. Pray for stamina, good sleep, breaks when needed. With constant singing, talking, speaking and shouting, the voice can get weary. Pray for our voices to remain strong.
- Anointing – Isa 10:27 It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil. Pray for all of us to have the anointing of Christ upon every meeting. We don’t want to lean on our own talent, skill, passion and past successes. His anointing is always fresh and invigorating and keeps us going.
- Clarity – 1Co 14:7 Even things without life, whether flute or harp, when they make a sound, unless they make a distinction in the sounds, how will it be known what is piped or played? 8 For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle? Pray for clarity of the word and prophetic words that will come forth. That it will cut to the heart of the matter and be easily received.
- Favor – Pro 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. May the heart of the people be open to every message. May they receive it gladly and embrace relevant responses and actions. Especially favor with pastors and leaders as we work with them.
- Impact – I Cor 16:9 For a great (high, large, mighty, loud) and effective (active, operative, powerful) door (portal, entrance) has opened to me, and there are many adversaries (to lie opposite, be contrary, oppose). 16: 13 Watch (keep awake, be vigilant), stand fast (be stationary, persevere) in the faith (persuasion, conviction), be brave (quit you like men, act manly), be strong (empower, increase in vigor). We have the opportunity to impact and influence many churches throughout Central America in 6 days. May the heart of the Father, true worship be conveyed and demonstrated throughout our time there. May new songs be birthed that week. May leaders be emboldened and encouraged to step up into their calling. May the weak be strengthened, the widow and the orphan be comforted; may healing virtue flow in every service. May His Spirit be released to destroy the works of the enemy in this nation! May we remain vigilant every step of the way to the devices of the enemy.
- Finances for the trip – Php 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. God is certainly blessing us in many ways financially, but we are stretched between personal obligations and the trip expenses. Good things are happening and we believe God will continue to provide as we remain faithful to what He has called us. Please pray for abundance during this season and fresh new sources of His provision! We love His surprises! They are new every morning!
For all of you who are committed to pray for the Smiths and the team they are leading for this worship conference, the first principle is to put a canopy of praise and worship to the Lord into place over them and over the conference. There is tremendous power in praise and worship as it is a declaration of trust in the Lord. The older generation will remember Merlin Carothers ‘Prison to Praise’ which witnessed to this key principle. The second is to get before the Lord and do a ‘sin check’- no known sin in your life, checking that your attitudes line up with God’s forgiveness and grace. The third is putting on your Ephesians 6 armour. Now, pray for the leadership, that they will have the word of the Lord for this kairos time in Guatemala City so that all they do will cause God’s purposes to be accomplished. Raise a hedge of protection around them and their families and their travel. Then pray calling in every person whom the Lord has purposed should be there to participate and place a hedge of protection about all who are there. Pray for their hearts, minds and spirits to be in receiving mode. Pray for divinely appointed encounters and conversations throughout the conference. Lift up the Names of the Lord and His government over the conference, binding all the work of the enemy who is always seeking to bind, blind and sow confusion, doubt, fear and unbelief. Take authority over these spirits and forbid them to operate during this conference. Release all of God’s fullness into all attending and declare an open heaven over the conference. Keep lifting up the Godhead over this conference, proclaiming His glory. This is how to pray effectively for this team. Rita Scialo
